Sex, Pornography, Puberty, Religion, Excitement, Fear,
Rebellion, Confusion
… And One Believing Boy!
With his comedic one-man show, “The First Time”, Paul
Hutcheson takes you on a journey of self-discovery. A
series of first time experiences vividly brought to life on
stage. Life after all, is nothing but a series of ‘first
times’…
Following a cross-Canada Fringe tour in which “The First Time”
received excellent reviews and thrilled audiences night after
night, the city of Edmonton now has an opportunity to experience
Paul’s show.
Family, friends and a varied supporting cast shape Paul’s amusing
past. Teachers, the Catholic Church, a summer swim buddy, actor
Russell Crowe and Wonder Woman provide milestones for Paul as he
takes his own road from childhood to adulthood. Ultimately, he
becomes aware that what he is told to believe is not what his
secret identity (Wonder Woman), encourages him to become…himself.
“The First Time” is highly entertaining, providing
laughs, joys, embarrassments, sorrows, and even some original
dance moves!
